How did a narrow line of convergence cloud form in the English Channel on 9 January 2021? Occasionally, in a northeasterly flow of limited instability, a line of cloud may be seen extending from the Strait of Dover along the English Channel. This short paper describes how one of these cloud lines formed on 9 January 2021.
