A 9‐year‐old captive female mahogany glider ( Petaurus gracilis ) died acutely without prior clinical signs due to peritonitis associated with a squamous cell carcinoma infiltrating the wall of the uterus. A concurrent bronchoalveolar carcinoma was identified within the pulmonary parenchyma, which was considered incidental. Neoplasia is rarely reported in mahogany gliders despite their aging captive population.
