Specialty low gloss PVC homopolymer resin effectively reduces gloss levels in flexible PVC compounds at replacement levels of 5 to 30 phr while having little effect on processing parameters. Compounds based on specialty low gloss homopolymers maintain their low gloss characteristics over a broad temperature range and during post heating. These compounds also out perform compounds based on other low gloss modifiers such as acrylics and silicas for physical properties.
