The effect of various levels of calcium‐carbonate filler on the physical properties of flexible PVC ranges from no effect on volume resistivity to a dramatic effect on processability. The effects are dependent upon the mean particle size and coating of the filler. Processors need to recognize the quantitative relationship between levels of calcium carbonate in flexible PVC and the resin's physical properties.
