Injection molding of PVC has been considered quite difficult because of the apparent low thermal stability with a high viscosity. While other materials were benefited by improved molding technology, technology applied to the molding of PVC received little attention. Whereas injection molding of PVC has been limited to general purpose pipe fittings, new resin technology and formulations provide compounds with excellent flow, easy molding characteristics and a good balance of physical properties.
