Microscopic viscoelastic, and bulk property analyses of the fusion process of plastisols found that the viscoelastic analysis is a facile and sensitive tool for determining gelation and fusion characteristics. The viscoelastic measurements can be used to gauge the effects of molecular weight, different plasticizers, and percent vinyl acetate content on the fusion characteristics.
