Abstract Blended, milled, and compression molded plasticized PVC compounds containing 30 wt percent of DIOP plasticizer were studied by combination of low effective frequency relaxation methods. The compounds were found to be heterogeneous and the ratio of plasticized and unplasticized phases dependent on the processing parameters. There is a correlation between the mechanical strength and the phase structure of the system.
