Color in plastics is an important marketing feature. To achieve proper tints and color matches, various mixtures of pigments are used. This use of pigment combinations can lead to flooding and floating in plasticized PVC formulations. A description of the phenomena and a method of control via the use of surface‐active agents which give controlled co‐flocculation are described.
