Basic principles of good compounding for weatherable vinyl siding are discussed. Appropriate level of stabilizer is such that 50 percent of initial should remain after the extrusion process. Balanced lubrication is necessary. Judicious choice of pigments and impact modifiers is called for. The cited references give added substance to this review paper.
