1 H ‐Indole‐3‐acetonitrile glycoside, phenolic and other compounds from Stixis suaveolens

From the methanol extract of the Stixis suaveolens leaves, 1 H ‐Indole‐3‐acetonitrile4 ‐ O ‐ β ‐D‐glucopyranoside ( 1 ), α ‐adenosine ( 2 ), β ‐adenosine ( 3 ), 1‐ O ‐syrinoyl‐ β ‐D‐glucopyranoside ( 4 ), 2,6‐dimethoxy‐ p ‐hydroquinone 1‐ O ‐ β ‐D‐glucopyranoside( 5 ), icariside B5 ( 6 ) were isolated by various chromatographic methods. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated by HRESI‐MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectra and by comparison with data reported in the literature. This is the first report of these compounds from Stixis suaveolens .
