Five halogenated sesquiterpenes including, (‐)‐aplysistatin ( 1 ), (+)‐palisadin B ( 2 ), 3,4‐epoxypalisadin A ( 3 ), 2‐hydroxyluzofuranone ( 4 ) and 2‐hydroxyluzofuranone B ( 5 ) were isolated from the red alga Laurencia intermedia , collected at Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province, Viet Nam. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated by 1D and 2D−NMR spectroscopy and HR−ESI−MS analysis as well as compared with data in the literature. This is the first time these compounds were isolated in Laurencia intermedia .
