Six sesquiterpenoids were isolated from a methanol extract of Curcuma aeruginosa rhizomes by using various chromatographic separations. Their structures were elucidated as pyrocurzerenone ( 1 ), dehydrochromolaenin ( 2 ), curzeone ( 3 ), linderazulene ( 4 ), curzerenone ( 5 ), and 8,12‐epoxy‐1 (10),4 (15),7,11‐germacratetraen‐6‐one ( 6 ) by extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis as well as comparison with the reported data. This is the first report of isolation of compounds 1 , 2 , 4 , and 6 from C. aeruginosa .
