Summary In this paper the factors influencing the service life of powerful generating lamps are considered. Possibilities of accelerated testing of the devices with the purpose of saving time and resources are described. The methodology and design of the research stand for accelerated testing are presented. Results of a study of the processes of mutual diffusion of the materials of the grid mesh and antiemission coating are shown. Criteria to evaluate the lifetime of the powerful electrovacuum devices are given.
