Given the challenges of the current coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic and to protect both patients and ultrasound providers (physicians, sonographers, allied professionals), the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) has compiled the following expert-opinion-based guidance for the rationalization of ultrasound investigations for gynecological indications. While the provision of ultrasound is an essential service and all individuals with gynecological complaints deserve high-quality investigation, the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic warrants triaging of referrals for gynecological ultrasound assessment.
