Only 83 (20.9 %) monochorionic twin pregnancies had uncomplicated course with two live born fetuses delivered after 36 weeks. Conclusion Monochorionic twin pregnancies are at high risk of maternal and fetal complications that need specialized care. Only uncomplicated pregnancies with no risk factors can be managed expectantly and deliver after 36 weeks of gestation. During the years 2012 2018 a total of 149 intrauterine operations were performed in monochorionic twins in our center. Twin to twin transfusion syndrom was the most frequent diagnosis for the invasive fetal therapy.
