Methods A retrospective cohort study in a single fetal medicine center between years 2011-2016. The outcome of 78 DC twins reduced to singleton at <12 wks of pregnancy was compared to 576 expectantly managed DC twins in the same period. Characteristics of the twin pregnancies undergoing reduction: 61% conceived naturally, 39% with assisted reproduction. Indications for the reduction were a maternal request (67%), maternal problems (25%) and fetal abnormalities (8%).
