Objective; To investigate the incidence of abnormality of the umbilical artery Doppler (UA) in MCDA twin pregnancies during the early 2nd trimester and the significance of abnormal UA to predict perinatal outcome. Methods: MCDA twins scheduled to deliver at our center between October 2014 and March 2019. Amniotic fluid discordancy, TRAP sequence, malformations and lost follow-up were excluded. UA was evaluated at four points including in the free loop and close to the cord insertion site for each artery separately between 16 and 17 wks. Absent or reversed UA at least one sampling point was labeled as abnormal. Cases with abnormal UA were reexamined by Doppler every 2 wks afterwards. UA was classified according to the diastolic waveforms in UA as below;
