Conclusion The preoperative diagnosis of FGTB is uncommon. It is commonly diagnosed during the evaluation of infertility at the time of laparoscopy or endometrial biopsy. Diagnosis of FGTB based solely on ultrasound examination can be difficult. However, if the intrauterine adhesions and hydrosalpinx were detected by ultrasound simultaneously ,especially in a primary infertile woman, the possibility of a FGTB should to be considered, and make futher more effort to integrate with clinical history and laboratory tests. Methods Twenty-four infertile women with a pathological diagnosis of FGTB between April 2013 and Feb 2019 were identified and the clinical features and findings on transvaginal sonography (TVS) were investigated. Results The mean age of the women was 29.9 years (age range 22-39years). A total of 21(87.5%) women had primary infertility while 3(12.5%)had secondary infertility. Menstrual disturbances were present in 6 ( 25%) women, including ,amenorrhea(1/6) , hypomenorrhea(5/6).None of the women presented systemic symptoms. 29.17%(7/24)of patients have chest radiographic found previous tuberculosis. Endometrial TB was pathological diagnosed in 15 women, the sonographic features were as follows: intrauterine adhesions46.67%(7/15), endometrial polyps13.33%(2/15), heterogeneous endometrium with subendometrial calcification13.33%(2/15),and no findings26.67% (4/15) Tubal TB was pathological diagnosed in17 women, the Sonographic features were as follows:bilateral hydrosalpinx 35.29%(6/17), lateral hydrosalpinx 29.42%(5/17), thickened undilated fallopian tube 17.64%(3/17),and no findings 17.64% (3/17). Peritoneal TB was pathological diagnosed in 6 women, the sonographic features were as follows:free peritoneal fluid33.33%( 2/6), and loculated peritoneal fluid 16.67 (1/6) ,and pelvic mass in16.67%( 1/6),no findings 33.33%( 2/6). Objective To evaluate the sonographic findings and clinical features of infertile women who were diagnosed with female genital tuberculosis (FGTB).
