Four or five years ago, one of my registrar colleagues contacted me. He asked what I would do if a professor had posted students’ grades on the class website and identified the students by the last four digits of their Social Security number. I asked, rather facetiously, if he wanted an answer from the students’ viewpoint or from a registrar's perspective.
