College students across all demographics can slip up when it comes to academic integrity. But international students are involved in disproportionately higher rates of academic misconduct compared to the general student population. In fact, research shows that international students are five to six times more likely to be reported for academic misconduct. And because international students hail from different backgrounds and cultures, academic integrity education and awareness initiatives will be most effective with this group if they're tailored to address their unique perspectives and needs.
