LOS ANGELES — Just because a commencement ceremony runs the way it always has doesn't mean there aren't opportunities for improvement. That was the thought that guided the University of Iowa toward making a more sustainable and accessible commencement ceremony, a process that Julie Fell, senior associate registrar; and Sara Sullivan, registrar services coordinator, outlined in a session at the annual conference for the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
