Although it's common to hear a bachelor's degree referred to as a “four‐year degree,” a new report from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center shows that the completion rate rises significantly if it is measured over eight years rather than six. In fact, completion rates rose for students who first enrolled at both two‐year and four‐year institutions between the sixth year after enrollment and the eighth.
