Most of us aspire to be slim and healthy, but, by regularly succumbing to temptation, we persist in behaving in ways that undermine that goal. In truth, it is much easier to uncork a bottle of wine when you get home instead of putting on running shoes and going out on the common. The instant gratification of a hamburger and chips (which contain around 700 calories) contrasts sharply with the sweat of an hour in the gym, which is necessary to burn that amount of consumed fat and carbohydrate.
