This chapter reflects on the shared journey of two African American women pursuing Ph.D.s, with a spiritual commitment to walk by faith. Afrocentric philosophy, communicative practices, and spiritually grounded pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning are examined in their transition from graduate students to university professors.
