Case Eosinophilic sinusitis is a pathological condition, different from conventional chronic sinusitis. A treatment method has not been established other than oral steroids. Surgical treatment is performed, but it recurs easily and is intractable. We report a case of eosinophilic sinusitis controlled by Kampo medicine. The patient was a 70‐year‐old man and had an olfactory disorder since he was in his 50s. He was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and was treated at another hospital, but after moving, was transferred to our department. Outcome We diagnosed our patient with severe eosinophilic sinusitis, which temporarily improved with oral steroid administration, but relapsed after about one month. We diagnosed him with phlegm‐rheum and blood stasis, and administered heiisan and keishibukuryogan. His symptoms gradually improved, and remission was maintained without the use of steroids. Conclusion Heiisan and keishibukuryogan was a beneficial alternative treatment for the case.
