The term social entrepreneurship is relatively recent, coming into favor over the last 30 years (Dray‐ton, 2002). When discussing social entrepreneurship, it may be helpful to explore the role faith‐based organizations play within social entrepreneurship, a topic that has not received adequate attention in the scholarly literature. This article features a case study of a 118‐year‐old faith‐based organization and explores its ability to create positive change, both locally and internationally. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
