This paper presents a simple but precise model of phase‐shifted full bridge zero‐voltage switching (PSFB ZVS) converter by introducing an effective duty ratio. The resonant states of PSFB ZVS converter are fully considered in the derivation of effective duty ratio, which results in a model with high precision. According to the proposed model, the output voltage of PSFB ZVS converter is not determined by duty ratio but by the phase shift, which is different from traditional models, and is verified by simulation and experiment. © 2015 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
