2,3,6‐Tri‐ O ‐pentylated and 2, 6‐di‐ O ‐pentylated/3‐ O ‐acetylated α‐ and β‐cyclodextrin derivatives are prepared and applied as chiral stationary phases for enantiomer separation by capillary gas chromatography. The cyclodextrin derivatives can be used over a temperature range from below room temperature to above 200°C for the separation of a large variety of chiral substrates.
