The New Food and Commodities Law and its Consequences for Starch and Starch Products . A survey of the most important innovations brought about by the new food and commodities law („Lebensmittel‐ und Bedarfsgegenständegesetz”, LMBG) in the field of food is given. The new term of additive, the prohibition of additives and its exceptions are elucidated. Consequences of the law for starch and starch products are presented.
