Static Mixing. A New Mixing Method. As an introduction, the term of static mixing as well as differences between static and dynamic mixing are explained. Construction and function of a typical static mixer, the Sulzer‐mixer, are illustrated. This is especially elucidated by means of sectional view pictures which were taken during the mixing process. Examples are given for the numerous possibilities of application with brief mentioning of their respective limits .
