Abstract The experimental data shows that the carbohydrate — borate complexes can be investigated by gas liquid chromatography. One of the advantages of this procedure is the possibility of observing the behavior of the α and β anomers in the presence of borate, a possibility unavailable when electrophoretic, conductometric or pH changes are used in the study of borate carbohydrate complexes.
