Abstract Health promotion on campuses has two audiences or targets: individuals and the community. Through strategies of leadership, consensus development, and community service, college and university communities can not only change social norms, but more critically, found and nurture a flexible, gentle network of caring and connectedness that pulls people toward each other and supports their growth toward greater health.
