The cover provides a look into a forged shaft using ultrasonic computed tomography. Ultrasonic CT is a game changer in ultrasonic testing which uses analytics to reconstruct and image the volume of the tested component. Besides the large scale industrial application, this work presents how the synthetic aperture focusing technique (SAFT) grows from an imaging tool to a full‐fledged quantitative measurement technique.
