Cover Caption: The cover represents an example of automatically generated 2D Representative Volume Element (RVE) model of ferrite‐cementite steel. The RVE model consists of ferrite matrix (α), globular cementite particles (θ), as well as intermediate “GND layers” around the particles, which describe the geometrically necessary dislocation (GND) accumulation behavior at α‐θ interfaces. The geometry of various RVE models were firstly created by parametrically controlling the RVE size, particle fraction, particle distribution and GND layer thickness. Then the RVE geometry files were exported and meshed in Abaqus/CAE. Various microstructure features, such as different particle size or GND layer thickness and carbide banding, could be simulated with these automatically generated 2D RVE models to investigate their effects on the flow behavior of ferritecementite steel. Further details can be found in the article by Xincun Zhuang and co‐worker on page 1489 .
