Creep‐rupture tests between 400 and 700°C to approximately 100,000 h duration, on three different ferritic and one austenitic steel. At constant stress there is a linear dependence between test temperature and log time to rupture. Recommendations for planning creep test programmes and for extrapolation of creep test results.
