An integrated data dictionary (IDD) is defined to contain data definitions and their applications descriptions. An IDD which includes report descriptions may be used as an input data structure for the automatic constructor of report generators (ACORG) in any data manipulation language. ACORG may be programmed in an elegant way using recursive techniques.
