In order to obtain concise specifications of access rights, the possibility of granting access rights to groups of users was introduced. This gives rise to the problem of forming specifications which refer to arbitrary unions and intersections of groups. The problem is solved by means of a special list structure. The resulting access lists are short and their administration is flexible.
