An in vitro vesicle system that mimics neuronal exocytosis is employed for nanotoxicity testing by Jiajie Diao and co‐workers in article number 1700207 . The experimental scheme consists of leakage and content‐mixing experiments to test the effects of nanomaterials on membrane integrity and synaptic fusion, respectively. The results demonstrate the potential of this system as a novel in vitro platform for assessing the biocompatibility of nanomaterials, drug molecules, and other substances. These leakage and content‐mixing experiments may offer a faster and easier approach for measuring nanotoxicity.
