It has been a challenge to manipulate the systemic biodistribution of endogenous exosomes to generate a biological function for disease therapy. The multifunctional nanoparticles fabricated by Liu et al. exhibited the potential to treat myocardial infarction by manipulating the biodistribution of exosomes, opening up a new horizon for exploring new therapies for diseases.
