The optical properties of colloidal quantum dots (QDs) can be tuned through size and composition. In article number 2000804, Haiguang Zhao, Alberto Vomiero and Federico Rosei apply a specific class of QDs as optical temperature sensors, since they exhibit temperature‐dependent double emission and photoluminescence/lifetime, high quantum yield and excellent photo‐stability. Nanothermometry for in vivo thermal imaging, and thermal mapping of complex systems are also successfully targeted as applications.
