In spite of having intriguing optical properties, 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) suffer from less light–matter interaction. Hybridizing 2D‐TMDs with plasmonic nanomaterials is one of the promising strategies to enhance the optical properties of atomically thin 2D‐TMDs. In article number 1904271, Feng‐Chuan Chuang, Yu‐Lun Chueh, and co‐workers discuss the recent achievements and state‐of‐the‐art behind hybrid 2D‐TMDs/plasmonic devices for various applications.
