In article number 1802328 , Bodo D. Wilts and Vinodkumar Saranathan uncover the optical mechanism of colour tuning employed by the snout weevil, P. congestus pavonius . Different‐coloured wing scales are achieved by simultaneously adjusting both the lattice parameters and the filling fractions of single diamond photonic crystals to achieve the remarkable tuning of the structural colours across the visible light spectrum.
