In a valleytronic material, the stable momentum valleys of charge carriers form the computational basis states |0> and |1>. In article number 1801483 , Steven A. Vitale and co‐workers show that circularly polarized photons can be used to prepare (σ + , red), manipulate (yellow), and detect (σ − , green) the carrier state, while electric fields move (vertical) and manipulate (horizontal) the carriers between preparation and detection regions, demonstrating a new way to perform computation.
