Reliable generation and supply of clean energy is critical for de‐carbonization of the economy, and solar energy is a leading candidate for achieving this goal. In article number 1800729 , Sarvesh Kumar Srivastava, Vikramaditya G. Yadav, and co‐workers synthesize a class of biogenic photovoltaics by coating lycopene producing E. coli cells with TiO 2 nanoparticles using supramolecular chemistry. When this material is employed as an anode in a dye‐sensitized solar cell, it yields an excellent photovoltaic response, laying the foundation for truly “nature‐derived” organic optoelectronics.
