In article number 1703616 , Jeff T. Gostick and co‐workers present 3D X‐ray CT images of electrospun carbon flow battery electrodes before and after carbonization. Through a variety of direct numerical simulations and image analysis techniques, insights into the effect of electrospinning and carbonization on fibrous material microstructures are elucidated and discussed. The significance of 3D imaging is highlighted throughout.
