Ternary nanostructured composite systems based on Sn–Ti–O as anodes for lithium ion batteries have been reviewed by H. Wang and co‐workers. Such composites are often used in combination with carbon‐based nanomaterials. Recent achievements in the fabrication and design of such structures are discussed on page 1364. The image illustrates the morphology of sphere‐ and wire‐like hierarchical nanostructures assembled from Ti‐doped SnO 2 nanosheets.
