Super‐resolution imaging of sub‐cellular organelles and nanostructures is presented by M. A. M. Gijs and co‐workers on page 1712. This is achieved by simply putting highrefractive index glass microspheres on a sample in combination with a microscope immersion objective for observation. The microsphere projects the sample's nearfield nanoscopic features into the far‐field, generating a magnified virtual image and demonstrating a resolution four times better than that corresponding to the classical diffraction limit.
