Carbon‐coated NiCo 2 O 4 @SnO 2 core–shell hetero‐nanostructures are synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process and subsequent carbon nano‐coating. When evaluated as anode materials for lithium‐ion batteries, the 3D hetero‐nanostructures exhibit enhanced lithium storage properties due to advantageous structural features.
