Materials with Pt@CeO 2‐δ core–shell nanoparticles on 3D‐ordered macroporous (3DOM) CeO 2 are prepared by in situ colloidal crystal templating. 3DOM Pt n @CeO 2‐δ /CeO 2 catalysts, which have both good contact between the solid reactant and the catalyst and a high density of coordinatively unsaturated ceric sites, show high catalytic activities and stabilities for soot oxidation.
