Lipid‐plasmid DNA(pDNA)‐gold nanoparticle(AuNP) hybrids are synthesized and used for gene delivery (see image). The loading of DNA strands onto AuNPs allows for their support and stabilization by the NPs; many DNA strands are delivered per delivery event. These results show that lipids and AuNP in one hybrid can work synergistically for improved gene delivery.
